 Greater Chicagoland Basenji Club specialty - June 14, 2003
This was my first specialty and I had a great time.  Cleo placed 2nd in the puppy sweepstakes in her 6-9 month class out of 11 bitches!  Thank you judge Mary Woodcock.  She did not place in her regular class, but there were a lot of nice puppies there.

   


Chain O' Lakes Kennel Club - June 15, 2003
Cleo picked up her first points after the Chicago specialty, and it was a 4 point major!  She was Winners Bitch at just 6 months old.  Thank you judge Francine Schwartz for my first major as an owner-handler!


Ann Arbor Kennel Club - July 5, 2003
Cleo was Best In Sweepstakes under judge Chris Houchins.  She also was Reserve to a major both days.


Anderson Kennel Club - August 17, 2003
Cleo picked up her second win the day after the Hoosier Basenji Club specialty.  This time it was a huge 5 point major by going Best Of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex over 5 specials!  There were some nice bitches there, including a multiple Best In Show and multiple Best In Specialty Show winner.  Judge Dale Simmons seriously considered Cleo for Best Of Breed.  It was a great day for Kiroja as my boy Mojo was Winners Dog too.


Livingston County Kennel Club - January 17, 2004
Cleo followed in Mojo's footsteps somewhat to finish her AKC championship.  She had been needing that last dreaded point and was Winners Bitch finally.  But that wasn't all, she went on to take Best Of Breed over a special for her third major!  A big thank you to judge Douglas Arthur for a sweet win.


Detroit Kennel Club - March 20, 2004
Cleo had a nice Best Of Breed win her first weekend as a special.  Thank you judge Luc Boileau for noticing my girl over quite a few specials at this supported entry.  It was a great day as some of my family and students were there to cheer us on.  As a result of her win, we got to be on tv for the hound group!  The show aired on ESPN, but we really didn't get much coverage.  Cleo was a little nervous about her network debut.
