FYI, anyone who is getting a Basenji from ANY breeder needs to make sure it comes from AT LEAST one DNA tested probable CLEAR fanconi parent!
2009 litter plans
I did not plan a litter for fall of
2008. Unfortunately we've
had some major life changes recently, so puppies were out of the
question. I miss having little munchkins around! However
I am tentatively planning a litter for fall 2009, as long as situations
improve. I am undecided on the breeding scenario
but most likely it will be time for Cleo's last litter. I am
searching out a suitable mate for her...one who has superb temperament
and health, with excellent complimenting structure, movement, and
performance ability. At this point I am expecting to have reds
and brindles. If I breed Roxie instead, we may end up with other
color combinations. If you are interested in reserving a puppy,
please
contact me. If you are wanting a puppy sooner, I can
recommend other responsible breeders in your area. Keep in mind
that most of this season's puppies from responsible breeders across the

8 red/white puppies born 1/9/08
Linda Lipford of Worrywort Kennels and Tracy Leonard DVM of Select Basenjis bred their lovely girl Boo to our boy Mojo. They had 8 wonderful puppies, 5 boys and 3 girls. Both parents have excellent health clearances which you can see here (Mojo's OFA page, Boo's OFA page) and have tested fanconi clear with the new DNA marker test.
